
Editorial Director
Adam Green is founder and director of Type Ventures. He has worked as a writer and editor across print, digital, audio and video for media brands including The Financial Times and developed branded content initiatives with The Economist Group, the Wall Street Journal, Elsevier, and MIT Technology Review. Adam leads technology and science research, specialising in life sciences, artificial intelligence and enterprise AI. Adam has a degree in Philosophy of Science from the University of Leeds and a MSc in Development Studies from the School or Oriental and African Studies, London.

Research Director
Dr Yasamin Alkhansa directs university partnerships and media programs for Type Ventures, focusing on international reputation campaigns and impact and engagement reporting for higher education research grants. She also leads projects at the intersection of education, technology, skills and online safety. Dr Alkhansa has held postdoctoral research positions at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris, France, and the University of St Andrews and led technology consulting projects in online safety and digital security. Dr Alkhansa received her PhD at the University of Sussex.

Principal, AI and Technology
An engineer by training, Sam Guerriero has contributed to over 30 AI systems across academia, startups, and global enterprises and delivered communication, strategy and education initiatives with organisations including Google Cloud and Udacity. Sam helps teams find their voice by turning technical depth into clear direction and responsible real world impact. She obtained her MSc in AI and Robotics at the University of Sapienza and her BSc in Computer Engineering at the University of Rome. She previously worked as a machine learning researcher in the University of Amsterdam.

Research Lead, Energy and Environment
Olivia Hallett is research lead for energy and environment projects at Type Ventures covering topics including ocean pollution, sustainable aviation and geospatial data for clients including the University of Birmingham, the World Wildlife Fund and The Economist Group. Olivia is on the editorial team for Back to Blue, an ocean sustainability media partnership between The Economist Group and the Nippon Foundation. She holds a MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and previously worked as a research assistant at McGill University.

Editorial Manager
Ajay Makan is an editorial manager for Type Ventures and covers technology, energy, economy and finance research projects. He has contributed to projects for clients including The Economist Group, EY and Databricks. Ajay previously worked at BBC Newsnight, The Financial Times and The Economist, and spent six years working in the technology sector as a content designer, product manager and consultant, including content design and UX roles with government agencies.

Contributing writer and editor
Gillian Parker is an experienced editor, journalist, and business risk consultant specialising in energy, commodities and sustainability. She has advised multinationals and development agencies as an analyst for the Economist Intelligence Unit and Control Risks, and served as a consultant for UKAID in West and Southern Africa. Gillian has worked as a writer and editor for media organisations including The Economist, VOA News, and TIME magazine.
