Adam Green is founder and director of Type Ventures. He has worked as a writer and editor in print, digital and video for media including The Financial Times and developed branded content initiatives with The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, Elsevier, and MIT Technology Review.

Dr Yasamin Alkhansa

Research Director

Dr Yasamin Alkhansa is research director for Type Ventures, and leads on education, inclusion and online safety projects. She has held postdoctoral research positions at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris, France, and the
University of St Andrews, and led technology consulting projects in the areas of online safety and digital security.

Ajay Makan

Writer

Ajay Makan covers technology, energy and finance research briefs for Type Ventures. Ajay previously worked at BBC Newsnight, The Financial Times and The Economist, and spent six years working in the tech sector as a content designer, product manager and consultant.

Olivia Hallett

Associate Researcher

Olivia Hallett is associate researcher for energy and environment at Type Ventures. Olivia holds a MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and previously worked as a research assistant at McGill University and at the Climate Reality Project, a nonprofit.

Oriana Campbell-Palmer

Oriana Campbell-Palmer

Associate Researcher

Oriana is an associate researcher for Type Ventures, supporting on higher education and social research projects. She received her LLM in human rights law with distinction from the University of Leeds and has a Bachelors in Politics and Sociology. Oriana has worked as a researcher for a number of UK-based non-governmental organisations and provided research support to higher education institutions in areas including teaching excellence and student welfare.
Gillian Parker

Gillian Parker

Contributing writer and editor

Gillian Parker is an experienced editor, journalist, and business risk consultant specialising in energy, commodities and sustainability. She has advised multinationals and development agencies as an analyst for the Economist Intelligence Unit and Control Risks, and served as a consultant for UKAID in West and Southern Africa. Gillian has worked as a writer and editor for media organisations including The Economist, VOA News, and TIME magazine.
